In news we never knew we needed, you can now buy crumpet slippers. Yes, you can slide your feet into two halves of plush, cosy crumpet look-a-likes and spent the rest of the day feeling happy.
Even better, all the proceeds from the sale of the slippers (excluding delivery) – they’ll set you back £19.99 – will be donated to FareShare, the UK’s largest charity fighting hunger and food waste.
The Warburtons Crumpet Slippers, which are available to buy online from today, will go down well for crumpet fans this Christmas, as well as a treat to yourself.
For every pair bought, the equivalent of 64 meals will be donated to those most in need during this festive period; in total, the proceeds from the campaign will enable FareShare to distribute over 85,000 free meals.
Jonathan Warburton, chairman at Warburtons said: “As we enter some of the toughest months for those in need, FareShare’s incredible work fighting hunger was an obvious partner and we are proud to be able to donate all sale proceeds from the slippers to such a worthy cause.”
The limited-edition items are available in sizes XS-L, spanning shoe sizes 3-12.
Earlier this year, the bakery brand also released the recipe of its famous crumpets – while HuffPost gave you some ideas for cool toppings.
Now, you can eat them, feeling crumpety from head to toe.
