The life of an influencer – or their personal assistant – isn’ t easy (Picture: Shutterstock / Crafter)

The internet is desperate to find out who the influencer is looking for a personal assistant with a recent viral job ad.

It’ s not strange that a YouTuber might be looking for a PA – after all there’ s the lot of work that will go on behind the scenes.

But, this job ad basically was looking for someone who has no social life or personal aspirations, and who can give up everything for average pay to serve this influencer.

The job – which was posted initially on Entertainmentjobs. net – is for a well-known celebrity/influencer with 10+ million followers who isn’ t named.

The successful candidate will start off part-time, graduating to full-time if ‘ properly qualified’.

Qualified for what, you ask? Well, you’ ll need to be adept in social media management, cooking, cleaning, researching, producing, and having no emotions while on the job.

Plus, although the particular pay is decent enough at $25 to $30 (£19 to £23) an hour, you’ re expected to be on call 24/7. So, although it appears you’ ll be getting paid for part-time work, you won’ t be expected to clock in and out like the normal role.

Some of the ‘ hundreds’ of tasks you’ re expected to be juggling at any one time include scheduling and organising all filming, social media analytics, waking the client each day with their coffee, packing and unpacking their bags ‘ constantly’, being able to drive the client anywhere at any time, compartmentalising your emotions, and remaining quiet at all times.

Work life balance who?

So, let’ s assume this is a 40-hour work week (once you’ ve shown your capabiliies of being a human robot). In this case you’ d potentially be earning around $62, 000 a year before tax (£47, 000).

Seems like a lot on our side of the particular pond, but the average salary in LA – where this particular person is supposed to live – is $75, 000 (£57, 000) due to the high cost of living. Really doesn’ t seem worth all the aggro.

People were understandably gobsmacked (Picture: Twitter)

After the job ad was posted to Twitter, it unsurprisingly got emotions running high.

‘ This mentions being without emotion like five times – not a good sign, ’ said one commenter.

Another replied: ‘ I love the question marks. I also love how an “ assistant” is supposed to help with… Social press management. Analytics. Video production. Scheduling. Wardrobe management. Sponsorship management. For $50k a year in LA. ’

Plenty more were having a think about who it could be, with speculation that it may be a Paul brother, Tana Mongeau, or Gabbie Hanna.

Whoever it is, they don’ t need a personal assistant, they require a superhuman.
