Ruper Murdoch’s son James has resigned from the board of News Corporation, citing “disagreements over certain editorial content”.
At a resignation letter filed on Friday, the youngest son of the media mogul told that the firm he was stopping with immediate effect.
He wrote: “Ladies and Gentlemen: I hereby tender my resignation as a member of the Board of Directors of News Corporation (the “Company”-RRB-, effective as of the date hereof.
“My resignation is due to disagreements over certain editorial articles published by the business ’s news outlets and certain other tactical decisions. ”
The precise nature of the disagreements or the news outlets in question weren’t comprehensive.
Rupert Murdoch and his other son Lachlan, co-chairman of News Corporation, published a joint statement on Friday saying.
The announcement : “We’re thankful to James for his many years of service to the company. We wish him the very best in his future endeavours. ”
